Carrot Soup with Miso and Sesame

The thought of this carrot soup, inspired by the Japanese salad dressing so common in NYC sushi restaurants, brought me back to hundreds of lunches, dinners, and midnight sushi runs in Manhattan.

Might be fun to pair this with some gyoza or salmon teriyaki - a bento box menu!

What would you serve it with?

  1. Tracy, I made this soup this week without having seen your blog post! Great minds! It is my new favorite thing!! I will never make carrot soup any other way - I'm in love!
I made it with these meatballs : http://smittenkitchen.com/2011/12/scallion-meatballs-with-soy-ginger-glaze/
But I did them with pork instead of turkey and served them over rice - delish!!!!

  2. Made it last night to celebrate the Golden Globes. Delicious!!!!! Thanks Trace and Natalia (who had already told me about it and was surprised that you knew about it too!!!!) Charmaine says that she too had the two soups on her to-do list and that we all have the same taste! Funny.
