I think I'm pretending I'm in New York and its cold and I'm snowed in and I can't imagine anything yummier than having a little spaghetti with sausage! Yes indeedy.
Inspired by a little day trip with Charmaine and a visit to a lovely store called Proper Sausages (you can check them out online at www.proper sausages.com) I've been relishing the thought of making this all day. So I did.
First I coarsely chopped garlic, onion, red and green peppers. I sautéed the garlic in olive oil and removed it from the pan so that it wouldn't burn but the olive oil would retain the garlicky taste. Then I sautéed the sausages till they were brownish. Took them out as well and added the peppers and onions while I cut sausages in pieces and added them to the veggies, including the garlic that went back to the pot. Salt and pepper a little cumin and a couple of tablespoons of tomato sauce.
Made some spaghetti and presto. Looking at Goosie's Gnocchi, I think it would go well with that as well but alas, I don't have any! Bon Apetit!
